You are likely the best resources of information for everyone else who comes here, but your time is likely very limited.

If you choose to help out, I can only offer my sincere thanks.

You know there is a need for this. You have to know there are scores of people who want to learn what you’ve already mastered. But there is a chasm.

So far I have experienced nothing but kindness from the likes of you. I only know the little I do because people like you chose to help me. I am trying to do that for those who are just beginning or have yet to begin. This ether can be frightening to them and very intimidating. You have great power in that you can choose to help them, scare them, or simply ignore them.

My experience with those who are not web fluent is that they are fearful and resistant. They can be angry. Learning is change and where you probably take change as a fact of your professional life, they may be the type who panic when they learn that their paychecks are going to be electronically deposited. Some do not even have e-mail.

So if you’ve read this far, thank you, and here is the request.

Correct me. Tell me when I am mistaken or wrong or misguided. Let me know what I can do better. If you give me information that will help these people cross that divide I will give you credit if you want it and I may even bake for you.
